I am a native of Queens and has always had a passion in empowering individuals, families, and couples in overcoming their personal obstacles to improve how they function on a daily basis. For the past eight years I have had a passion in providing a service to those whom are dealing with everyday traumas, relationship hurdles, family disagreements and more. My experience includes counseling the homeless male and female population, children and families, those recently released from imprisonment , and those battling chronic substance abuse. I have completed my undergraduate degree where I studied Psychology at Delaware State University and continued my education at Alfred University where I obtained my Masters of Education in Counseling with an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling. Currently a Program Director for a non- profit Social Services agency I provide supervision to caseworkers, social workers directors and more. I prefer a a more hands on approach that leaves the client with food for thought, and coping mechanisms that can be carried with them through life. I am committed to assist each individual build their strengths and develop a treatment plan that can be incorporated in their daily life.
